For families & visitors
What to expect when your loved one is in our ICU
We know visiting a critically ill relative can be overwhelming. Our nursing team will orient you to the bedside environment, explain what you are seeing, and answer your questions with patience and honesty.
Visiting hours and the number of visitors may be adjusted based on the patient's clinical condition — this is always for the patient's safety and recovery. We ask that visitors follow hand hygiene and gowning protocols at all times.
A senior member of the ICU team will provide regular updates on your loved one's condition and treatment plan. For urgent concerns outside of scheduled update times, please speak with the nurse in charge at the unit desk.
If you need information in a language other than English or Urdu, please let our team know — we will do our best to arrange appropriate support.
